100 CALORIE PACK PET PEEVE!!!!!

This is a RANT post about the DIABOLICAL marketing pracitices of companies like “Keebler” “Nabisco” etc.

100 CALORIE packs are, for the most part, the BIGGEST JOKE to all mankind.

It doesn’t matter if you are just getting “100 calories” of JUNK, its STILL JUNK.

Oreos that are 100 calories will STILL elevate your insulin levels, and will STILL cause Love handles, Spare tires, Thick Waists.

It might SOUND really good to think you are just getting 100 calories, but it is STILL CHANGING the chemistry of your body with most of it being trans-fat/sugar treats.

If they were called “100 calorie Sugary TransFats” would they sell???

Just another ploy to make people think they are making a healthy decision, when in fact, its a very unhealthy decision.

ANYONE else want to vent about these?!?!?!? Do you get annoyed with these companies that try to make you think you are being healthy?!?!? “ERRRRGGGG!!”

YES!!!! I find it extremely irritating! Not to mention that the 100 calorie packs are very unsatisfying, so most people will probably go for a second pack anyway. “100 calorie sugary transfats”…love it!

Pretty much, I think we just need to ignore ALL advertising about food products. My latest pet peeve? – the commercials about high-fructose corn syrup. Yuck! I feel like I need to deprogram my kids after every commercial!

By the way, have you read The Schwarzbein Principle II: The Transition? It’s written by Diana Schwarzbein, who was Suzanne Somers physician. Suzanne actually has altered her program quite a bit because of Dr. Schwarzbein’s input. Thought you’d like to read her – she’s not as readable as Suzanne Somers, because she really gets into the nitty gritty about how all of our major hormone systems work, but I really like to know that kind of stuff. Thought you might, too.
