Can Tupler Technique naturally reverse hernias?
The answer is a resounding yes!
What kind of hernias can be reversed using this technique?
Primarily Umbilical and Epigastral Hernias (Hernias on the abdominal area).
How are the Hernias Reversed?
Step one: Splinting using the Tupler Technique Abdominal Splint, which helps approximate the two halves of the recti. This helps the organs protruding out the thinned out connective tissue, akin to Saran Wrap, through a hole or tear, to go BACK into its proper placement.
Step two: You must do the Seated Tupler Contractions and Elevators exercises, while eliminating the “DO NOT” movements, to allow the two halves of the recti to be pulled together by proper use of the transverse muscle during these exercises and other movements. When the recti have come back together and THEN healed (two very separate events) THEN the connective tissue between the two halves of the recti can return back to its ropelike structure with good integrity, which facilitates that the hole or tear that caused the hernia can be closed up.
Step three: If the hernia **still** has not finished reversing, we can employ additional techniques during the exercises to finish the process, as well as some nutritional strategies to build up the connective tissue.
